Simple as can be Google has made life just a bit easier for everyone. Google has started a text messaging service where you can receive information with the push of a few buttons on your phone. Google text messaging is easy and has virtually eliminated the use of $1.99 per call 411 usage (your carriers text message rates apply). Here is how it works. Send a message to Google by typing the numbers that represent the name Google (466453) as the recipient of your text message, then type in the information you require. If you are looking for a movie time just type in the name of the movie and Google will text back with a description of the movie and show times. If you want to know the weather forecast same thing type in weather and wait about 30 seconds, a forecast will appear on your phone. For local business type in the kind of business, say you want a pizza, type in pizza and it will give multiple phone numbers for local pizza places or if you have a favorite pizzeria and don't have the number in your phone type in the name of the business and wait for a response. Your first text to Google should be set location and your zip code, this way whenever you text to them it will give you local results and if you travel you can type in the search you wish to perform plus the zip code and it will give you results for that area. To set your location type in set location and your zip code. |
