iPhone
I have been a cell phone junkie since I purchased my first Startec flip phone. Shortly after that I switched to Nextel and purchased every new phone they put out all the way ot the first MP3 phone they released. One day after paying a $800 bill for 3 phones, then puking, I checked out other service providers and immediately switched to T-Mobil. My phone bill dropped under $140 a month and I was happy. They gave me a razor and it was functional for everything I needed until traveling recently. It just wasn't enough. I finally bit the bullet and went phone shopping. We were on our way to T-Mobil at the mall when we passed the AT&T store, one of the phones caught my girlfriends eye. I got to talking with the salesman and he showed all of their PDA's. They did not stock the iPhone but I had to have one after looking at the alternatives. I drove 30 miles to the nearest Apple store and looked at the phones. My choices were 8 gig for $400 or 16 gig for $500. $500 later I own a phone. That seems like a lot of money but let me tell you it has been worth every dollar. My phone connects to the internet using wireless, I get email and can view web pages as fast as on my lap top. Sending text messsages is as easy as sending IM's, the phone keeps the text history in a window like an IM so I can read everything in context and they allow unlimited recipients so when I send out a group text (like telling everyone my new number) I can send it to everyone in my list. The touch screen is incredible, the phone flows and functions well. Looking up contacts or songs they have letters on the side so I am literally one touch away from finding every song that starts with a t if I want. There are many more functions than I will ever use (not a big youtuber) but for everything I can imagine needing a phone for the iPhone is it. |
