Playing poker against terrible players From time to time I get extremely frustrated. Generally poker players are bad and if you think you are good take a deep breathe because I have news for you. Only 5% of poker players win at poker, in the long run not in one night only 5%. This was a tough fact to swallow when I looked at poker as a serious proposition. The fact of the matter is the house rake eats up most of the profit thats available. Every once in a while you will find a soft game comprised of bad players. Bad players pay my bills but they are what they are, bad. Even though you are a statistical favor to win when you get your money in you can't win all of the time, it's hard to be calm but you don't want them to get better so calm down, take a step back and add up the profits.
